Delivery of Orders
We make every effort to get your order to you in a reasonable time. Delivery times will vary depending on your location and due to the impact of covid-19 on the related services. Click here to find out more on the NZ Post Covid-19 FAQ page.
Orders can take between 3-5 working days for orders received Monday to Friday (between 9am – 4pm). This may vary for some remote or rural locations. If you have placed an order on a weekend you can either choose to pickup from our Henderson store at checkout otherwise your order will be sent out on the next business day. If you are picking up an order please contact us before you come so we can ensure your order is ready.
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout and are calculated by the weight and dimensions of the products. We use NZ Post as our primary shipping carrier and we pull our rates directly from their shipping rate database.
Please note we are unable to deliver to P.O Box addresses.
Fragile, Oversize, or Overweight Items
Although we take great care on ensuring your purchases arrive safely some of our products are unique and fragile and make it difficult to ship.
You will see a notice against the product(s) in your order if it is a “Special Freight Item“, meaning, it is fragile as well as being oversize and/or overweight. This is to let you know that this item will not be shipped by us.
However, in this case you will have relevant options on the checkout page as per below. All other items in your order will be delivered as per normal courier delivery.
Options at checkout for “Special Freight Items”
Pickup from our Auckland Shop
- You can use the pickup option on checkout to pick up the item from our Henderson shop.
Customer will arrange shipping
- You can use the “I will arrange shipping” option on checkout to let us know you will be arranging delivery via a Freight service. One such service we can suggest is Trade Me Shipping and Freight Services. (Choosing this option will let us know that you will organize shipping for the items(s). For your convenience, the weight and dimension information are provided on both the cart and checkout pages for you to use to get a freight quote via the freight service.
On the checkout page, orders are split by “parcel delivery” items (Items that are within acceptable weight and dimension limits for the courier service. See limits below.) and “freight delivery” items (items that are fragile, oversize and/or overweight and exceed acceptable courier delivery limits), meaning you will see two shipping options if you have more than one item in your cart that has at least one parcel delivery item and a freight delivery item.
Delivery limits for NZ Post
Max weight (kg) = 25 kg
Max dimensions (cm) = H = 50 x L = 50 x W = 50
Max Volume (m³) = 0.125
Freight items (not delivered by NZ Post) are any item that exceeds the NZ Post limits above.
Cover for loss or damage
We take every step we can to prevent damage of our products via the NZ Post Courier service. To see what cover is available for delivery via the NZ Post Courier service Click Here
Any damage during transport and delivery through our shipping partner NZ Post, all disputes are to be communicated through the carrier.
Storage of purchased items
If you are picking up or arranging your own shipping via a freight service for items exceeding the delivery limits above, we ask that the item(s) are collected from our shop no later than 3 days from the date of your online order date.
If these items have not been collected within this timeframe you may be charged a storage holding fee of up to $50 per day depending on the size of the item.
